The ongoing pandemic has resulted in many innovations in the way we engage partners and solve problems in our community. To further our community impact, we are offering several engagement opportunities throughout the year that companies and community members can participate in.

 

Stuff the Bus School Supplies Drive
Thousands of kids arrive at school without the supplies they need to succeed. Host a site to collect needed school supplies.

Workplace Volunteer Opportunities
Every third Thursday in September United Way hosts our county-wide Day of Caring event pairing corporate teams with nonprofit organizations in need of help with projects at their facilities.

United for Warmth Coat Drive
Winter makes it tough for many families, with increased seasonal costs and kids that outgrew last winter’s cold-weather gear. Host a winter clothing drive to support local families.

ALICE Essentials Drive
We all need things like toothpaste, soap, and laundry detergent to stay healthy.  But did you know that many assistance programs like SNAP don’t cover the basics? Host a collection site for needed personal care items.

Rake-a-Difference
In honor of Veterans Day, we pair volunteer groups with local residents who need help with raking due to physical or financial limitations.

Adopt-a-Highway (Allegan County only)
United Way partners with MDOT to keep our roads safe and beautiful. Join us at one of our three annual clean-ups!
