The Lakeshore Housing Alliance (LHA) is the HUD designated Continuum of Care (CoC) for Ottawa County. The LHA is responsible for facilitating the distribution of federal and state funds for homeless services. The mission of the LHA is to work collaboratively to meet the needs of people at risk of or experiencing homelessness in Ottawa County. Together the LHA member agencies work to:
- Develop and promote integrated, community-wide strategies and plans to prevent and end homelessness.
- Close the front door to homelessness by offering prevention services, linking people in housing crisis to permanent housing programs and promoting access to mainstream resources.
- Provide a variety of options for permanent housing and offer wraparound and intensive case management services that open the back door out of homelessness.
